Being a first-generation university student and a Canadian through naturalization made the process of adapting to the Canadian school system arduous. Consequently, I struggled with learning English when I first moved here. However, I received a lot of guidance when I was younger, which sparked an idea about what can I do in return. Why not a free tutoring service for those just like me who struggled with English? 

 

I started RK Academy in May 2021, where initially I helped others who struggle with English with private tutoring lessons. RK Academy provides these free lessons over video calls for children in India who struggle with subjects in school, but can't afford to pay tuition fees. Additionally, since September 2022, RK Academy has expanded to tutoring other subjects such as Science, Math Social Studies, Chess, Music, etc. 

 

​Though this tutoring service is meant for underprivileged children in India, we still accept those from anywhere in the world, who come from a low-income household, as long as you are comfortable learning English, as its the primary language used for teaching. We also accept teens, and adults as well.
